The Geology Department provides grade control and resource definition services to allow efficient mining of the gold resource. Contract RC drilling and blast hole sampling are regularly undertaken for analysis in the on-site assay laboratory.
The mining license is considered prospective for repeat geological systems and further exploration is planned to define additional resources and extend mine life.
A copper resource containing 150,000 tonnes of copper metal has been identified below the oxide gold pit currently being mined. Metallurgical test work is encouraging and the resource is being considered for development following the current mine.
